Man Boobs and Obesity...What is causing your man boobs?

Man boobs, a hot topic, and with good reason. Along with obesity in men comes a condition known as gynecomastia or man boobs. Many obese men are are suffering from this condition. Many men experience a feeling or sense of humiliation because of this condition and are often embarrassed by it.

Below is a list of potential causes of this condition.

1. High fructose is in nearly all processed food and it is believed that high fructose is a one of the leading factors in obesity. Fructose has the same effect on the liver as alcohol. It has been called beer without the buzz. Alcohol contains calories that the liver turns to fat, before it can be used as energy, same as high fructose.

2.Lack of exercise inhibits the body from burning the calories. When the body cannot get rid of extra calories through physical activity, they are stored as fat in different areas of the body, such as the chest area, which can lead to man boobs.

3.With obesity comes hormonal imbalances, in-which the body produces less testosterone and more estrogen. The more dominate the estrogen becomes the more likely to develop man boobs. However in most cases these levels can be restored through proper exercise and nutrition.

falling into the trap of laziness

falling into the trap of laziness...
symptoms:

1. would rather spend the day laying on the couch than anywhere else.

2. choosing take-out over home cooked... every night of the week...

3. would rather have a root canal than go do a workout...

sure...i know that we all have our occasional lazy day...but lately it seems that more and more people are turning to laziness instead of living an active lifestyle...

what about you?
are you habitually inactive...
passive observer instead of active participant...
a master excuse-maker.
looking for shortcuts in order to avoid exercise...
there may be a legitimate reason for laziness...

Sleep Deprivation: when you're short on sleep it's easy to become unmotivated... which quickly turns into laziness... a minimum of six hours of sleep each night...to maintain enough energy to get you through the day...and to function at your best...
Caffeine Abuse: starting your day with a jolt of java is great for alertness and energy...but don't rely on it throughout the day instead rely on your own natural supply of energy...drinking coffee all day creates highs and lows in energy that could be the reason that you become lazy later in the day...
Bad Habit: at some point being lazy simply becomes a habit...if every night after work you head straight to the couch...it will soon become automatic and not a conscious decision...breaking the habit of laziness is about making the conscious decision to do something productive instead...like heading over to spartan training...rather than the couch...
Inactivity: if your job keeps you in a chair for hours at a time...and you don't exercise before or after work...then your body becomes accustomed to inactivity... it's time to wake up your under-used muscles and to reacquaint yourself with the joy of motion and exercise... a simple way to get back into the swing of things is to go on a 30 to 60 minute walk either before work or after you return home... once you've broken yourself in with consistent walks... contact spartan training to get started on a fitness program that will quickly get your body back into great shape...

energy flows where attention goes...

are you like most people today...dealing with weight issues...the years go by and the pounds slowly build up...you look in the mirror...less and less because you don't like what you see...yet you feel there is nothing you can do about it...

the internal dialog might go something like this...
i've gained too much weight to ever get back in shape...
i'm too old to start now...
even if i did start now...
i wouldn't even know where to begin...
if you are like most people...you quit before you ever get started...and weight loss becomes a huge obstacle...it almost seems like it would be easier to climb mt. everest than lose weight...the imagined difficulty of losing weight...paralyzes you...and you just give up...

i always say...weight loss starts...in the moment you decide to take that first step and begin the assent up mt. everest...one step at a time...done consistently and you will conquer that mountain of fat...one pound of fat per week...done consistently and you will reach the summit before you know it...

3500 calories= one pound of fat...
a typical fat loss nutrition plan will range between 1200 to 1500 calories...an average untrained overweight individual has an resting metabolic rate somewhere between 1200 to 1500 calories...
a typical one hour resistance training program burn 500 to 600 calories...followed with 30 minutes of cardio in the fat burn zone and another 300 calories...plus daily activities another 300 calories...this create a 700 to 1000 caloric deficit...
which means...you are burning up more calories than you are taking in...forcing the body to learn how to burn fat effectively and efficiently...and so you slowly begin to burn more fat...one pound of fat=3500 calories...

weight loss may seem like a mountain...but with each step you take toward weight loss...you are one more step closer to a healthier you...

The Dangerous Diet HCG!

spartan training does not promote...quick fixes to weight loss...or fad diets...and with all the negative feed back i am getting from people who have tried the HCG diet...i have to call this one out...the science and the truth behind the HCG diet...to date...no scientific evidence supporting HCG injections for weight loss...none...zero...to date...negative side effects...headaches...depression... blood clots...ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome...symptoms include...stomach pain...pelvic pain... swelling of the hands and legs...weight gain...shortness of breath...diarrhea...vomiting...nausea...dizziness...

i am amazed at the number of health professionals who are actually promoting this diet for weight loss...there is nothing healthy about this diet...i have personally taken bodyfat measurements before and after the diet...and guess what...no significant fat loss...

there is no best exercise for the triceps...when you learn how to hit the stretch position and fully activate the muscle fiber...then any triciep exercise... is going to be effective...the tricep has three heads... so isolating each head...requires multiple exercises...pushdowns...reverse grip...over heads...so on and so forth...
